Noor Al-Qalb (نور القلب, “Light of the Heart”) is a free website for daily worship and learning for the Twelver Shia (Ja'fari) community: reading the Quran, duas, adhkar and ziyarat, prayer times and the Islamic calendar.

Our principles

• Transparent sources. Every text shows where it comes from. Sample and editorial content is clearly labelled.
• Not tied to a single marja. We present texts and information from reliable sources and do not present the rulings of any one marja as binding on everyone. For religious rulings, follow your own marja and their official office.
• Respect for differences. Where scholars or narrations differ, for example on some dates or on how midnight is calculated, we say so instead of choosing silently.
• Privacy. Your saved items, reading place and location stay on your device. See the privacy page.
• For everyone. The site is designed to be easy to use on any phone, with English, Urdu, Arabic and Roman Urdu, and with accessibility in mind.

What is available now

Duas, adhkar and ziyarat with Arabic text, transliteration and translations; a sample of the Quran reader (Surah al-Fatiha); prayer times calculated on your device; a tasbih counter; the Hijri date with upcoming occasions; search; and saving your favourite readings.

What we are preparing

The complete Quran from a verified source with published translations, Nahj al-Balagha, al-Sahifa al-Sajjadiyya, hadith, articles, the Beautiful Names of Allah, recitations, the Qibla direction and fasting times. Sections that are not ready are marked “Coming soon”.
